NOTICE
The City Of Hiawassee does hereby announce that the millage rate will be set at a meeting to be
held at City Hall on 9-23-19 at 6 PM and pursuant to the requirements of O.C.G.A. Section
48-5-32 does hereby publish the following presentation of the current year's tax digest and levy, along with the digest and levy for the past five years.

Special Meeting of the Downtown Development Authority

On Monday August 26, 2019 at 5:30pm there will be a special meeting (meet and greet) with the members of the newly formed Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and the City Council of Hiawassee in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
Refreshments will be served.
At 6pm, the DDA will be presented with their information packages and date of first official regular meeting, Monday September 16, 2019 at 6PM at Hiawassee City Hall.

Our great city was honored to be featured in the statewide GMA publication Georgia Cities on June 13th 2019. The article "Hiawassee Proactively Seeks Tourism Dollars"written by Gale Horton Gay highlighted our beautiful city and surroundings, our small town feel. How we proactively sought tourist dollars to help fuel our business community and the great impact we can have from tourism with out strining our residential tax base.
